The Koyo PLC and possibilities

My name is Raymond Franz. I have been in the  Controls field in various capacities for 25 years.  During this time, I was given several tasks in Control Design.  As I put these in perspective I can see that many technologies work together to accomplish tasks in our connected society today.  I can also see how this applies to Control Design.   These technologies were used together with a PLC to accomplish some unique goals. I have attempted to bring together some of this information into a central location to put this technology changes into perspective and to show how old and new came together for me to accomplish some amazing work.
Every Engineering department has a budget.  The Engineering department that I worked in was no different.  I was given a budget and a set of projects to complete.     I have used PLC’s from Cutler Hammer, Allen Bradley, and B & R Industrial Automation.  They each have advantages and disadvantages.   I had worked with a Koyo Plc on a previous simpler control project and was impressed with the software and support from Automation Direct.    4 projects are listed on the  Dl06 PLC Projects page.  These projects each became progressively complex and each proved the capabilities of the Koyo PLC.   I had the opportunity to work with a great PLC, the DL06 from a company called Automation Direct.   The Assembly Robot project really brought to mind the phrase “All Tech Helps”.  Several different technologies came together to bring that project to fruition.  These technologies were used together with this PLC to accomplish some unique goals.  I am looking for new challenges in the field of Controls.
